How does booking work?
Send the inquiry form and I’ll reply within 24 hours to set up a call. A signed contract and a 20% retainer hold your date; the balance is due 7 days before the wedding, paid through the Client Portal.
When does coverage start and stop?
Coverage begins at the hour we schedule and runs unbroken from there — getting ready, travel between nearby locations, the waiting, the dancing. Your booked hours are yours start to finish.
Do you help build the timeline?
Before anything else, we map the day backwards from sunset. Light is the one thing a schedule cannot borrow back later, so portraits get the hour that flatters them and everything else is arranged around that. You’ll have the plan in writing weeks ahead, and your planner or coordinator will have it too.
Do you bring a second photographer?
The larger collections include one, and any collection can add one. A second shooter earns its cost when getting ready happens in two places, or when the guest count makes a single angle impossible. Either way I work two cameras myself — close in and from across the room — and guests forget I’m there, which is the whole reason the candid frames look the way they do.
Will you travel for our wedding?
Yes, and often. I’m based in San Francisco, but a good share of my year is spent elsewhere — up the coast to Mendocino, out to Napa and Sonoma, down to Big Sur, up to Tahoe, and further when someone asks. Travel is quoted separately so you can see exactly what it costs before you decide.
When do we see the photographs?
A short sneak peek lands within 72 hours, usually the next morning. The full edited gallery follows in about three weeks, as high-resolution files you own outright.
Do you make albums?
If you want one. A fine-art album is designed from the frames you actually loved, which is why I’d rather lay it out after you’ve lived with the gallery for a few weeks than in the days when choosing is hardest. It can be added to any collection, before the wedding or long after.
